I lived during the Elizabethan catch in England. This style of upkeep occurred amidst the Gothic and Renaissance periods and reached its peak in the late 1500s when I was in my mid thirties. At the time of Elizabeths accession, Englands saving was shattered, the country was torn by spiritual conflicts between the umpteen fightring religions, was economic anyy insecure, and was involved in a damn war with France. My daily life was changed but this new period under our Queen Elizabeth was very rewarding for our nation.
